CUID English – B1
MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS (50 puntos)
1. READING COMPREHENSION
A It was a Saturday morning in the Main Street shopping mall. It was raining outside and the people who were waiting for the bus were soaking wet. The hundreds of people inside the shopping mall weren’t getting wet. They were shopping. Many of the stores were having sales. In the department store, women were bumping into one another. They were trying to find the best bargains.
One young woman was talking to the cashier. She was returning an expensive raincoat. She seemed upset because the zipper of the raincoat was broken. The cashier was telling her that she couldn’t return the raincoat without a receipt. The young woman was becoming more and more upset.
While this was happening, several people were standing in line behind the young woman. They were waiting to pay. A man was holding a camera in one hand and his credit card in the other. The woman behind him was looking in the pocket of her bag. She was trying to find her personal check book.

B Last weekend, my wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. We were advised by friends to book a double room in the Independence Inn, so a reservation was
made online for a long weekend. Although a confirmation fax wasn’t sent to us, we set off for the inn on Friday morning.
At first, we were thrilled by the beauty of the inn. It was redecorated six months ago. But our excitement didn’t last long. When we checked in, we were told that the reservations had been mixed up and that our room was booked by someone else. The manager apologized and said, “I will see that this problem is solved immediately!” A few moments later we were shown to our room. It was lovely!
Fresh flowers are put in each room every day. Excellent service is offered by all the hotel staff. Delicious breakfasts are served in the coffee shop every morning. Fresh bread is baked there daily. The spa isn’t situated inside the inn. It is located in a lovely garden area nearby. We were each offered a spa treatment on the house to make up for the mix-up with our reservation.

Re: INGLES. NIVEL B1 POR EL CUID

Mensaje por Uni Kotto el Sáb Nov 10, 2012 7:27 am

RECORDEMOS LAS PARTES DE LAS QUE CONSTA EL EXAMEN B1 DEL CUID:

1)READING COMPRENSION A y B

2) USE OF ENGLISH

3) COMPOSITION. 100 WORDS APRROXIMATELY.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
